Selected leaders will have a unique opportunity to develop and hone foundational critical thinking, communications and management skills through McKinsey Academy’s signature McKinsey Management Program (MMP). When you are selected and complete this leadership journey you will be a better you and recognized as a leader who is committed to their community, their company and their own personal development.

Who Should Participate in McKinsey Academy @ QF?

This program is designed for leaders of Colorado companies and organizations who aspire to grow and lead at a higher level. Candidates should be leaders in their company/organization, as well as their community. Please review the Candidates section for additional details.

What is the time commitment for the McKinsey Academy @ QF?

Overall program will run over 9 months and include four online courses (90-120 minutes per week) and a monthly Leadership Huddle in the evening (3 hours per month). Commitment includes individual self-paced learning, group-based projects and social learning.

How is this program different than other leadership programs?

Serving in leadership roles can often feel isolated. The McKinsey Academy @ QF program provides participants with world class leadership training, as well as access to top-tier leaders and peers who can serve as lifelong mentors and friends.

MCKINSEY MANAGEMENT PROGRAM (MMP) DIGITAL COURSES

Business Strategy

Assess the robustness of a strategy and apply McKinsey’s Strategy Method to develop strategies that can help businesses gain a sustainable advantage in the market.

Problem Solving

Develop a rigorous and structured approach to problem solving and improve your ability to define challenging problems, prioritize issues, synthesize findings, and develop actionable recommendations.

Communicating for Impact

Move teams, colleagues, clients, and leadership to action by carefully structuring arguments, tailoring those arguments to address audience needs, crafting inspiring prose, and delivering your message with personal presence and style.

Team Management

Learn day-to-day management techniques that build alignment and engagement, develop feedback and coaching capabilities to unlock your team’s talent potential, and maximize your team’s effectiveness.

Participants who successfully complete all four core courses will receive a McKinsey Management Program Certificate of Completion

MCKINSEY MANAGEMENT PROGRAM (MMP) DIGITAL COURSES

Participants will have the opportunity to go through one of McKinsey Academy’s most successful leadership programs – the McKinsey Management Program (MMP). The MMP includes a set of four digital courses that focus on building core leadership and management skills that leaders across the public, private and social sectors will need to effectively lead their organizations The McKinsey Management Program’s digital courses include several distinctive features to boost participant engagement and performance.

Practitioner’s Perspective

Courses taught by McKinsey partners and external business leaders who provide practical “how to” guidance.

Social Learning

Collaboration with peers across industries and geographies, and in community discussion forums.

Applied Learning Mechanics

Interactive method to encourage application of concepts on the job, including in-line discussion prompts and opportunities for self-reflection.

Group-Based Projects

Small groups of participants collaborate on course-specific projects based on real-world tasks.

McKinsey TA Guidance

McKinsey consultants serve as teaching assistants, providing distinctive engagement and guidance.

Rigorous Analytics

Advanced analytics and leaderboards measure participant progress, proficiency, and social engagement.

MONTHLY GATHERINGS – LEADERSHIP HUDDLES

Mentorship

Colorado leaders serve as mentors and coaches throughout the seven month process, offering participants premier access to some of the regions top leaders.

Group Sessions

Participants will learn from, and connect with, other emerging community leaders through monthly sessions with top leaders and peers.

Community Connections

As part of the program, participants are members of Quarterly Forum, an invitation only group of community leaders.
