Nominate Or Apply
The Colorado Governors Fellowship Program was founded to implement the guiding principles of The Leaders Initiative, which works at the intersection of the public, private and nonprofit communities to engage leaders in applying their skills across sectors. The Fellowship Program operates on the premise that government is only as good as who is in it, and that the best executives from the private and nonprofit sectors can elevate the brand of government by applying their skills and experience to the public sector.
Through a blend of education, experience and exposure, the state’s best and brightest leaders engage in a nonpartisan 8-month program that will inspire them to make a difference and define the future of public service. Alumni from the Program will form a network of leaders who can contribute to public leadership with dynamism, innovation and experience complimentary to traditional government leaders.
The Fellowship Program currently is executed in partnership with the University of Colorado School of Public Affairs and the Governor’s Office, and with the support of the Colorado Business Roundtable, El Pomar Foundation, The Commons on Champa and Quarterly Forum.
We are no longer accepting applications or nominations for the 2017-2018 Colorado Governors Fellowship Program. Thank you to all those who expressed interest in the Program. We look forward to another great year!
The Colorado Governors Fellowship Program takes inspiration from the following federal organizations, which were created to engage emerging leaders in challenging, but important, public service capacities while promoting citizenship more broadly.
